Ingredients

  • 2 packages miniature marshmallows
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 packages white chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ cups red and green gumdrops

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Marshmallow Mixture

In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the marshmallows and melted butter. Microwave on high for 1–2 minutes, until marshmallows are soft and puffy. Stir until smooth.

Step 2: Melt White Chocolate

In a separate bowl, microwave the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Combine

Pour melted white chocolate into the marshmallow mixture. Stir until evenly blended.

Step 4: Add Gumdrops

Fold in the gumdrops until they’re evenly distributed.

Step 5: Form the Bars

Line a baking dish with parchment paper (with extra hanging over the edges). Spread the nougat mixture evenly into the dish.

Step 6: Chill

Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until firm.

Step 7: Slice & Serve

Lift the nougat out of the pan using the parchment paper, place on a cutting board, and slice into bars or squares.

Cook’s Notes & Variations

  • Switch the Candy: Add chopped nuts, dried fruit, or mini chocolate chips.
  • Play with Chocolate: Use milk or dark chocolate instead of white, or swirl different chocolates for a marbled look.
  • Holiday Ready: Swap gumdrops for seasonal candies to match any celebration.
